Ambassador Bansarn led Thais, Singaporeans and foreigners in Singapore to join bike for dad event in Singapore

On Friday 11 December 2015 at 16.00 hrs. (15.00 hrs. Bangkok Time) H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore led 250 Thais, Singaporeans and foreigners in Singapore in the “Bike for Dad” event — a cycling event to celebrate the 88th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on 5 December 2015, at Gardens by the Bay East. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn initiated this cycling event to pay tribute to His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty’s Birthday Anniversary. Furthermore, the event is a truly symbolic for Thai and foreign peoples to express their gratefulness to the Father of the Nation, and to promote harmony amongst Thailand as well as to promote good health and welling-being of the people.

This memorable event participated by Singaporeans and Friends of Thailand is a true witness of a close and long - lasting relationships between Thailand and Singapore, especially this year marks the 50th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Singapore as well as the 50th anniversary of Thailand - Singapore diplomatic relations.

In this cycling event, participants rode along approximately 3.5 kilometer cycling trail of Gardens by the Bay East along Marina Bay. Participants started the riding at Benjamin Sheares Bridge then passed through the trail where participants experienced the beauty of Singapore city landscape, especially Formula 1 Pit Building, the venue that used for Formula One Grand Prix each year, Singapore Flyer, the Marina Bay Sand Buildings, ArtScience Museum, Gardens by the Bay, SkyPark Observation Deck and Marina Barrage.
