On 21 August 2026, H.E. Mrs. Waraphannee Damrongmanee, Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to Singapore, welcomed H.E. Dr. Rena Lee, Ambassador for International Law of Singapore, at the Royal Thai Embassy.

 

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the upcoming election of judges to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for the 2027–2036 term, in which H.E. Dr. Rena Lee is a candidate. They also exchanged views on international law and the role of relevant international organisations in promoting peace, stability and international cooperation.

 

The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views on the close and longstanding relations between Thailand and Singapore, as well as ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
