Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore presided over and took part in a merit-making ceremony at Wat Anand Metyarama to commemorate "Vesak Day"

On May 22, 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore presided over and took part in a merit-making ceremony at Wat Anand Metyarama to commemorate "Vesak Day". The event was well attended by officials from the Royal Thai Embassy, members of Team Thailand in Singapore, as well as many Thai and Singaporean Buddhists.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Ambassador Ureerat lighted the candles in the temple’s chapel, listened to a sermon about the importance of Vesak Day, and took part in the candlelight procession, so-called “Vien Tien”, around the temple’s chapel to pay respect to the Lord Buddha.
