On September 18, 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, received the prestigious “Her Awards UNFPA Thailand 2024: Inspiring Population,” presented by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Thailand, TV Burabha, and Ninja Perfection. These awards honor individuals and organizations dedicated to promoting development and well-being for all, with a special emphasis on gender equality and the empowerment of women, girls, and youth.

In her interview, the Ambassador shared her thought and experience, “Women and men have equal capabilities, but some societies still hold attitudes that limit women's roles in certain fields. This is a challenge we must overcome. Creating opportunities for women to be recognized and supported equally with men is essential for a balanced society.

Working in diplomacy also involves facing these challenges, but what matters most is our confidence in our potential and our commitment to rise above gender issues. I want to tell every woman that we have the power to create change, regardless of our roles. Believe in yourself and keep striving for self-improvement. Challenges are everywhere, but confronting them with a strong mindset will lead us to success in our endeavors.”
