On 17 December 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, welcomed a delegation from the Investment Management Subcommittee, the Risk Management Subcommittee, and the Private Advisory Assets Subcommittee, and representatives of the Social Security Fund of Thailand, who visited Singapore to follow up on and assess the performance of the investment companies' regional offices in the country.

 

On this occasion, the Ambassador discussed with the delegation about the policies and visions that shape the investment and development strategies of Thailand and Singapore. The topics of discussions also covered social security, political and economic systems, as well as other development issues between the two countries.

 

The Social Security Fund of Thailand allocates 70% of its investments towards the domestic markets and 30% in foreign markets through trusted investment companies around the world. This includes investments in bonds, stocks, and real estate. The visit revealed that the fund's foreign market investments have been yielding positive returns.
