On 15 January 2025, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore welcomed Admiral Jirapol Wongwit, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy and his delegation at the Royal Thai Embassy. The Ambassador also hosted a dinner in the honour of the Commander-in-Chief at her Residence. On this occasion, both sides exchanged views on the robust defence cooperation between Thailand and Singapore as well as key economic and social developments of Singapore.

 

Admiral Jirapol is in Singapore for his introductory visit from 13 to 16 January 2025. During the visit, he called on H.E. Dr. Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Defence of Singapore, as well as Vice Admiral Aaron Beng, Chief of Defence Force and Rear Admiral Sean Wat, Chief of Singapore Navy. The two Navy Chiefs also signed a revised Memorandum of Understanding to enhance maritime information-sharing between both Navies.
