Between 31 May - 2 June 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore welcomed H.E. Mr. Sutin Klungsang, Minister of Defence of Thailand during his visit to Singapore to attend the 21st Shangri-La Dialogue at the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore.
During the said Dialogue, Minister Sutin delivered a speech in the Plenary Session 6 “Connecting Indian Ocean and Pacific Security”, highlighting Thailand's proactive stance in promoting regional cooperation, ensuring maritime security, and fostering comprehensive security measures to support sustainable development and stability in the region.
On this occasion, Ambassador Ureerat participated in the bilateral meetings between Minister Sutin and high-level representatives from different countries on 31 May 2024, namely Admiral Dong Jun, Minister of National Defense of China, Dr. Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Defence of Singapore, and Mrs. Tammy Duckworth, U.S. Senator.
On 2 June 2024, Ambassador Ureerat hosted a dinner in honour of Minister Sutin and his delegation at the Ambassador’s Residence.
