On 7 May 2025, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, welcomed a delegation from Chiang Mai University led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry. The meeting discussed the ongoing and future research collaboration between Chiang Mai University, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and the National University of Singapore (NUS).

 

The Ambassador extended full support for the research collaboration which emphasized Thailand’s potential to contribute to the advancement of research and development, helping to tackle climate change, combat environmental pollution, and ensure food security, all of which are issues of critical importance at both regional and global levels. This collaboration also offers an excellent opportunity for Thai researchers to exchange and enhance knowledge and experience.
