On 1 May, 2025, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Singapore, presided over the opening ceremony of the 2025 Thai Labour Day in Singapore. The event was jointly organised by the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, the Labour Office in Singapore, and the Assurance, Care and Engagement (ACE) Group under Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower. More than 1,000 Thai workers participated in the event.

On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed her appreciation to Thai and Singaporean agencies, both public and private, for their collaboration in organising the event. She noted that the gathering not only served as an opportunity for Thai workers to meet and socialise but also offered informative activities and useful advice on employment and ways to improve quality of life.

She emphasised the importance of Thai workers’ contributions to the economy of Singapore. She also highlighted that, over the past year, the Embassy has organised activities that are both beneficial and enjoyable for the Thai worker community. More events are planned for this whole year in celebration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Singapore, including the Thai Festival to be held from 23 to 25 May.

At the event, the Ambassador presented certificates of appreciation to event supporters, conducted a prize draw for Thai workers, and distributed food at the Embassy's booth. Officers and staff of the Embassy were also present to provide information and consular advice for Thai workers.
