On 15 January 2026, Mrs. Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., presided over the handover ceremony of the Head of the Regional Counter-Terrorism Information Facility (CTIF) from Singapore to Thailand, held at the CTIF office. Captain Thammarat Tiabtiam, Defence and Naval Attaché, also attended the ceremony.

The ceremony underscored the continuity of the Centre’s operations as well as Thailand’s readiness to assume this significant role. It also reaffirmed Thailand’s leadership and contribution in promoting international counter-terrorism cooperation, which serves as a key mechanism in strengthening regional stability and security.
