Charge D'Affaires represented the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore at Kathina day's ceremony at Wat Ananda Metyarama Thai Buddhist Temple

On Sunday 12 October 2014 at 09.15 hrs., Ms. Kasama Suebwises, Chargé d’Affaires, as representive of the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, participated in the Kathina Day ceremony at Wat Ananda Metyarama Thai Buddhist Temple, as part of the Embassy’s longstanding annual tradition, in conjunction with over 300 Thai and Chinese Buddhists, Embassy staff, and officials from Team Thailand offices in Singapore. In the ceremony, Ms. Kasama offered the Kathina robes as well as other sangka necessities and donations to the monks. All participants then joined in the Kathina prayers and water-pouring rituals before offering the monks’ meals. Venerable Chao Khun Phra Tepsiddhivides, Chief Abbot of Wat Ananda, led the Temple’s monks in chanting the sermons and conducted the sangka Buddhist ceremonies.
