Delegations from Ministry of Labour of Thailand paid a courtesy call on the Thai Ambassador

On 17 July 2017, H.E. Mr. Thongchai Chasawath, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, welcomed Mr. Vivathana Thangong, Inspector General, Ministry of Labour of Thailand and delegations of Ministry of Labour of Thailand. The meeting discussed on various area of interests including the living conditions of Thai labours in Singapore, activities and measures to enhance their living conditions here. Delegates also exchanged of view with Ambassador on the good policy and best practices of Singapore government toward foreign workers in Singapore. 

In addition, on 16 July 2017, the Office of Labour Affairs together with Thai labour volunteer organized the garbage collecting activity at Nicoll Highway Park. Led by Mr. Vivathana Thangong, Inspector General, Ministry of Labour of Thailand and Mr. Chairat Sirivat, Minister of Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, approximate 50 participants enjoyed this social responsibility activity which aimed at paying back to Singapore society and strengthening relationship between Thai government agencies, Thai labour and Thai community in Singapore.
