On 14 May 2015, at 10.00 hrs., Mr. Chairat Sirivat, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, attended the 86th Birthday Anniversary Celebration of Venerable Chao Khun Phra Tepsiddhivides, Chief Abbot of Ananda Metyarama Thai Buddhist Temple in Bukit Merah. At the event, participants and Buddhists jointly conducted merit-making ceremony, with the attendance of Ms. Indranee Rajah, Senior Minister of State for Law and Education and Member of Parliament for Tanjong Pagar GRC. There was also a special chanting session with monks from Myanmar, Tibet, Sri Lanka, and China, followed by the provision of meals, money, and essential items for 100 senior citizens and dedicatory chanting in honour of the late Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, former Prime Minister of Singapore.
