On 30 January 2013, Mr. Marut Jitpatima, Thai Ambassador to Singapore, made a courtesy call on H.E. Madam Halimah Yacob, Speaker of Parliament of Singapore, to congratulate her on the new appointment. They reaffirmed the longstanding cooperation between Thailand and Singapore through regular exchanges at all levels, including the visits to Singapore Parliament last year by eight parliamentary delegations from Thailand.
