From 6 to 8 August 2025, Adm. Jirapol Wongwit, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy, paid an official visit to the Republic of Singapore to receive a military decoration. On 7 August 2025, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, attended a meeting between the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy and Mr. Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Defence and Minister-in-Charge of Public Service of the Republic of Singapore, and participated in the conferment ceremony of The Meritorious Service Medal, which was presented to the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy by Mr Chan Chun Sing on behalf of the President of Singapore.
On 8 August 2025, the Ambassador hosted a luncheon in honour of the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy and his delegation. The luncheon provided an opportunity to discuss Thailand–Singapore bilateral relations, particularly defence cooperation, under which the armed forces of both countries maintain regular high-level and working-level exchanges, as well as to exchange views on regional security issues.
