The delegation attended a briefing titled "Singapore’s Development Strategy: Implications for Thai-Singapore Relations" .
This activity is part of the academic cooperation between the Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University, and leading research institutes and universities in Singapore . The initiative aims to enhance student capacity by developing perspectives that are attuned to the dynamics of regional geopolitics and the digital economy .
On this occasion, the Chargé d’Affaires and embassy officials provided information and an analysis of Singapore's development strategies across political, economic, social, and cultural dimensions under the Fourth-Generation (4G) Leadership. A key focus was "Forward Singapore," which emphasizes refreshing the social compact and building a society where all sectors share responsibility and participation to navigate a highly volatile world. This was discussed alongside the "Singapore Economy 2030" plan, which targets increasing the value of advanced manufacturing and trade through digital innovation and sustainability. These strategies have significant implications for bilateral relations, reflecting a transition from traditional cooperation toward a resilient strategic partnership . Furthermore, Singapore continues to view Thailand as a destination with high investment potential and relies on Thailand as a vital partner for food security .
