Representatives from Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ) and Department of Corrections paid a courtesy call on Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore

On 27 September 2016 at 10.00 hrs., a group of 16 officers from Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ) and Department of Corrections, led by Mr. Adisak Panypong, Special Advisor of TIJ, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Thongchai Chasawath, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore. The group exchanged views with Ambassador and the Embassy’s officers on judicial procedures of Thailand and Singapore, situation of Thai labour and welfare of Thai people in Singapore.
The group visited Singapore during 26 - 28 September 2016 where it met with several organisations on the work of the United Nations Rules for the Treatment of Women Prisoners and Non-custodial Measures for Women Offenders or ‘the Bangkok Rules’. The group also took this opportunity to visit the Changi Women's Prison.
