On 16 September 2015 at 19.00 hrs. H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore presided over the praying ceremony on the chanting of the Pochangkaparitra gatha for the good health of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej at Ananda Metyarama Temple. Phratep Siddhivides — the Chief Abbot of Ananda Metyarama Temple, led a group of monks, including monks from Pa Lelai, Dhammacakrattanarama and Dhammasathis Temple, in the chanting of the Pochangkaparitra gatha for 17 rounds for the Thai officials and staff of Royal Thai Embassy, together with their families and the Buddhist Community including Thai people living in Singapore who participated in this important event. Chanting of the Pochangkaparitra gatha is believed by Buddhists all over the world that it will bring good health to sick people while it was prayed since the beginning of Buddhism more than 2,500 years ago. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak has called upon and encouraged all Thai people to pray the Pochangkaparitra gatha for the recovery of His Majesty the King. The Assembly of Sangha in Singapore had informed all 46 Thai Temples all over the country to chant the Pochangkaparitra gatha on the same date and time with the Ceremony at Ananda Metyarama Temple.
