The Royal Thai Embassy and the Office of Labour Affairs of Thailand organized the Labour Day Celebration 2016 at Republic Avenue. Mr. Sutthi Sukolsol, Inspector General of the Ministry of Labour of Thailand, presided over the opening ceremony while Mr. Chairat Sirivat, Chargé d’Affaires of Thailand, attended and presided over the closing ceremony of the Thai Labour Day Celebration 2016.

More than 2,500 Thai workers joined the event, whereby a number of activities were held, including Mobile Consular Unit by the Royal Thai Embassy, exhibitions from several Singaporean agencies, music and shows, as well as sports competitions. On this occasion, Chargé d’Affaires as well as other high-level officers from Team Thailand in Singapore presented the prizes to all winners of the sports competitions and also certificates of appreciation to supporters of this event.
