On 6 December 2024, Mrs. Suwannee Arunsawadiwong, Charge d'Affaires, a.i., along with officers from the Royal Thai Embassy and representatives from Team Thailand in Singapore, in collaboration with the UOB Bank, Singapore, organized a volunteer activity in celebration of King Rama X's Birthday Anniversary, Thai National Day, and Thai Father’s Day, which took place on December 5, 2024. The activity involved teaching children from the Lakeside Family Services project— a Singaporean charitable organization aiming to strengthen marriages and families while promoting resilience in disadvantaged children - how to paint and color on canvas.

 

During the event, the Embassy also introduced the children to Thailand, including highlighting key landmarks, Thai cuisine, and Thai traditions aiming to foster a deeper understanding of Thailand. The children then applied what they learned to create drawings related to Thailand, such as the Grand Palace, Thai beaches, Tom Yum Kung, the traditional Wai gesture, and the Songkran Festival.
