NON-IMMIGRANT VISA-ED

 

          Non-Immigrant Visa-ED may be granted to applicants who wish to pursue their full-time education, internship or any other educational programme in Thailand. Please check your eligibility to apply for visa at the Royal Thai Embassy, Singapore, at Instructions for visa application

Validity: 90 days after the date of application. Visa holders may contact the Immigration Bureau of Thailand, after entering Thailand, for the extension of stay and re-entry permit.

 

      Required documents for Non-Immigrant Visa-ED applicants are as follows:

1. Visa Application form(s) and photograph(s): Completed the Online Visa Application (OVA) at least 21 working days before the intended date of travel (http://visaonline.thaiembassy.sg/), sign Visa Application form as well as bring recent photographs (size 3.5x4.5 cm).

    Remark: Applicant from Nigeria must submit letter from employer and certificate of Clearance issued by the National Drug Law Enfrocement Agency of Nigeria (NDLEA) that is certified by Nigerian Misistry of Foreign Affairs and Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja

2. Passport (valid no less than 6 months).

3. Letter from the school, training institution or company in Thailand (Original) – The letter must be type in the school/company’s letter head signed by authorized person and a copy of School license or business registration (Copies of documents must be signed by authorized person and affixed the seal).

Thai language and cultural training courses, applicants must provide documents which demonstrate that the course meets the minimum requirement as follows: - If the course is no longer than 5 months, the period of study at least 4 days per week, 2 hours per day. - If the course is longer than 5 months, the period of study at least 5 days per week, 5 hours per day.

4. For those who will study in University or higher education programme: Certificate of clearance or Criminal record clearance (English version), dated not more than 3 months.

5. Evidence of adequate finance: an original bank saving statement which states bank contact information and deposit with the equivalent amount of not less than S$ 3,000 for the last 3 months. (Foreign bank statement need to submit a letter from the bank stating the balance equivalent to Singapore or US Dollars)   

6. A copy of flight ticket to Thailand

7. Singapore’s Long-term pass: If applicable, a copy of the applicant’s long-term pass (e.g. Singapore Blue IC and Re-Entry Permit Form 7 (for Singapore’s Permanent Residents), Employment Pass, Personalised Employment Pass, S Pass, Work Permit, Entry pass, Training Employment Pass, Student Pass, Dependent Pass, Long Term Social Visit Pass, or Professional Visit Pass). All passes must show its validity for at least two months. If the pass validity is less than 2 months, a letter of explanation from the guarantor (e.g. employer/spouse’s employer) is required.

8. Dependents Parents of students (under 20 years old) who have enrolled for a full-time long-term educational course in Thailand are eligible to apply for Single-Entry Non-Immigrant O-visa.

     Required documents :

        - the same as required documents for Non-Immigrant ED-visa

        - plus marriage certificate and/or birth certificate (Document issued by Non-Thai and Non-Singaporean Authorities MUST be certified by its Embassy prior to submission)

        and a proof of additional 500,000 Baht deposit in a bank account per PARENT (for the last 3 months) Foreign bank statement need to submit a letter from the bank stating the balance equivalent to Singapore or US Dollars

       Civil partnership certificate is not acceptable. Dependents are not eligible to work in Thailand.

9. Application fee: SGD$100 (Cash only in Singapore Dollars – Non-refundable)

10. Other documents: as may be requested by Consular officers in addition to the documents above. Please note that Consular officers reserve the right to require additional documents, or an interview, as deemed necessary, without prior notice. The Royal Thai Embassy reserves the right not to accept any visa application whereby any required document is absent. If the above procedures are not completed, the official will not proceed with your application.
