 NON-IMMIGRANT VISA O-X (LONG STAY/RETIREMENT)


Non-Immigrant Visa Category O-X (Long Stay/Retirement)
           Purpose of Visit: This type of visa may be issued to applicants aged 50 years and over who wish to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 10 year without the intention of working. Holder of this type of visa is allowed to stay in Thailand for 5 years each time (total 10 years). Employment of any kind is strictly prohibited.
 
Note:  Non-Immigrant Visa O-X (Long Stay/Retirement) will only be granted by the Royal Thai Embassy  Singapore to Singapore Permanent Resident

Note: All nationals which don’t have a “Family name” must fill in the entire name in the “First name” box in the e-Visa application form and leave “Family name” box blank. Failure to do so will result in the rejection of your e-Visa application.

 
-Eligibility-
 
          1. Applicant must be aged 50 years and over (on the day of submitting application)

          2. Applicants must be nationals and passport holders of eligible countries, namely; Japan, Australia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Canada and United States.
 
 
Required documents:
          1.  Passport valid no less than one year and half
          2.  Singapore Blue IC and Re-Entry Permit Form 7 (for Singapore Permanent Resident)
          3.  Photograph taken within the last 6 months
          4.  A copy of flight ticket to Thailand
          5.  Summary of the applicant’s personal data (CV/Resume)
          6. Applicant not prohibited from entering the Kingdom as provided by the Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979)
          7. A Letter of verification stating that the applicant has no criminal record issued from the country of his/her nationality or residence. Such verification must be valid for no more than 3 months.
          8. A medical certificate showing no prohibitive diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No.14(B.E. 2535) 
(Leprosy, Tuberculosis, drug addiction, Elephantiasis, third phase of Syphilis)

          9.  Health Insurance issued by a Thai or foreign insurer for general illnesses, including COVID-19, with the insured sum of no less than 100,000 USD or 3,000,000 THB 
               9.1  This Health insurance policy document which is issued by a Thai or foreign insurance company, should states that the applicant is medically insured for the period of at least 1 year.

               9.2  In case of a Thai insurance company the applicant must submit 1 copy of the insurance policy document. A list of Thai insurance companies participating in the scheme can be found here: http://longstay.tgia.org 

               9.3  In case of a foreign insurance company the applicant must submit 1 copy of the insurance policy document together with the Foreign Insurance Certificate as stipulated by the Office of Insurance Commission and Health Insurance of Thailand. The Foreign Insurance Certificate must be completed, signed and stamped by the insurance company. The form can be downloaded here Foreign Insurance

          10. Applicant must have a Bank Deposit of no less than 3 million Baht in Thailand or a bank deposit of no less than 1.8 million baht and annual income of no less than 1.2 million baht. Such amount must be maintained in bank deposit in full for at least one year and keep at no less than 1.5 million baht thereafter.

          11. A letter of guarantee from the bank with bank’s contact information showing a deposit of the amount equal to and not less than 3 Million Baht.  
               - A copy of bank statement from financial institutes located in Thailand only
 
               - Once the applicants enter Thailand, they must have accumulated money deposited in Thai bank located in Thailand not less than 3 million Baht within 1 year.  
 

All Documents : Documents in languages other than Thai or English have to be translated into either Thai or English and notarised by notary organs or relevant diplomatic/consular missions.

Remark:

  • Applicant from Nigeria must submit letter from employer and certificate of Clearance issued by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency of Nigeria (NDLEA) that is certified by Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja
  • For Nigeria who has residence in Singapore or Long-term pass holding may contact CID department for certificate of clearance
