On 10 July 2025, H.E. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, delivered an opening remarks for the Southern Innovation and Technology Expo (SITE) 2026 Roadshow, held at the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore.
This event was jointly organized with the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and the Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University (PSU) to introduce the upcoming SITE 2026, which will be held in February 2026. The expo aims to showcase the potential of Southern Thailand as a thriving hub for health, medical, and service innovations, while also reinforcing Thailand’s role as a regional center for Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE).
The program featured a presentation on opportunities in Thailand’s MICE industry by Mr. Puripan Bunnag, Acting President of TCEB, followed by a presentation on the vision of SITE 2026 by Dr. Songsin Theerakulpisut, Head of the MICE Management Program, Faculty of Management Sciences, PSU, who represented the President of PSU. A keynote address titled “Thailand: The Wellness Destination of the World” was delivered by Mr. Kamonsak Reungjarearnurng, an expert in wellness tourism and advisor to the SITE 2026 initiative.
The event also highlighted innovative research from the Faculty of Medicine, PSU, including CAR-T cell therapy for cancer treatment and intradermal dissolving microarray patches for vaccine administration, reflecting Thailand’s growing capabilities in medical research and technology development.
