On May 12, 2025, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore presided over and took part in a merit-making ceremony at Wat Anand Metyarama to commemorate "Vesak Day". The event was well attended by officials from the Royal Thai Embassy, members of Team Thailand in Singapore, as well as many Thai and Singaporean Buddhists.

 

On this occasion, Ambassador Ureerat lit candles in the temple’s chapel, listened to a sermon on the significance of Vesak Day, and joined the traditional candlelight procession, or "Vien Tien", circling the temple’s chapel in homage to the Lord Buddha.
