On 7 February 2025, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, presided over a reception on the occasion of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Day, organised by the Office of the Defence Attaché of the Kingdom of Thailand at the Royal Thai Embassy, Singapore.

 

On this occasion, Ambassador Ureerat reiterated the close and cordial ties between the Royal Thai Armed Forces and Singapore Armed Forces through various bilateral and multilateral cooperation frameworks, military training exercises and regular exchange of visits, which has become an important foundation of the strong partnership between the two countries. In addition, Thailand and Singapore are celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations this year.

 

The Royal Thai Embassy was honoured to have Vice Admiral Aaron Beng, Chief of Defence Force of Singapore, as the Guest of Honour. More than 180 representatives from MINDEF, Singapore Armed Forces, foreign Defence Attachés and members of the Team Thailand in Singapore attended the reception.

 

The Royal Thai Armed Forces Day is celebrated annually on 18 January to commemorate the bravery and sacrifices of Thailand's ancestors and armed forces in protecting the nation.
