On 4 August 2025, H.E. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Avani Hotel Project at Peck Seah Street as Guest of Honour, alongside H.E. Hiroshi Ishikawa, Ambassador of Japan to Singapore, and Mr. William E. Heinecke, Chairman and Founder of Minor International. The project marks another milestone in the growing collaboration between Thailand and Singapore in the hospitality sector.
