On 1 August 2025, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, hosted a networking reception under the theme "A Glimpse of Thailand Through Singapore’s Lenses". The event is a collaboration between the Embassy, the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) aimed at commemorating 60 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Singapore, bring together over 100 guests from across sectors.
Highlights included a preview of the upcoming SCCC "Kopitiams" exhibition with black-and-white photos by Mr. Lester Ledesma, and two documentaries by NTU students: "Wheel Tracks" on Bangkok's Tuk Tuk and "Kin" on Thai cuisine's evolution. The event also celebrated the "Thailand-Singapore Commemorative Artwork," co-created by Thai artist Mr. Thaweesak Srithongdee (Lolay) and Singaporean artist Mr. Toby Tan (Tobyato), launched in September 2024, symbolizing the nations' collaborative spirit.
The gathering fostered a unique convergence of diplomacy and cultural exchange, inviting attendees to experience Thailand's rich heritage and contemporary vibrancy through artistic interpretations by Singaporean talents.
