On 20 March 2025, H.E. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, met with Mr. Vipul Chawla, Chief Executive Officer of NTUC FairPrice, a leading retail group in Singapore, at FairPrice Headquarters. They discussed ways to enhance trade in agricultural and food products between Thailand and Singapore, particularly the expansion of Thai imports, which currently rank as the fourth largest among FairPrice’s foreign product sources. The meeting also covered cooperation on food security and the development of innovative agricultural products. On this occasion, the Ambassador highlighted Thailand’s potential as a high-quality food producer, especially in protein products, which aligns with Singapore’s market demands, and expressed support for efforts to increase bilateral trade value in the future.
