On 30 August 2024, H.E. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, officially opened the Muay Thai Festival at the Royal Thai Embassy. This event is part of the Thai Festival 2024: Thai Market, organised from 30 August to 1 September 2024 to promote Thailand's soft power.

The 2024 Muay Thai Festival is a collaborative effort between the Royal Thai Embassy, the World Boxing Council (Muay Thai), and Eminent Fighting Championship. In her opening remarks, Ambassador Ureerat highlighted the cultural and diplomatic value of Muay Thai, a sport that embodies both national pride and a tool for fostering international relationships and mutual understanding among people. She also emphasized the importance of empowering women in sports and congratulated the female fighters competing for international titles at this event.
