On 26 April 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore paid an introductory call on Ms. Foo Chi Hsia, Deputy Secretary (Southeast Asia and ASEAN), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, upon her assumption of duty.

Both sides reiterated close and longstanding ties between Thailand and Singapore and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations, including exchange of high-level visits to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Thailand – Singapore diplomatic relations in 2025. They also exchanged views on various issues, such as the development cooperation and technical assistance provided to third countries, the exchange of best practices between Thailand and Singapore, and Thailand’s bid for the membership of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
