On 1 May 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Singapore, presided over the opening ceremony of Thai Labour Day 2024. The event was co-organised by the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, the Office of Labour Affairs, and the Assurance, Care and Engagement (ACE) Group under the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
During the opening remarks, the Ambassador expressed deep appreciation to the Thai and Singaporean agencies concerned for their contributions to the event which attracted over 1,000 participants.
This event served as a platform for Thai workers to get together and receive useful information and guidance from relevant agencies to improve their living conditions.
In this occasion, the Ambassador invited all attendees to sign the well-wishes book to His Majesty the King on the auspicious 72nd Birthday Anniversary.
After the opening remarks, the Ambassador presented certificates of gratitude to the event's sponsors and distributed food boxes to Thai workers at the Embassy's booth, where consular guidance and assistance are provided by the Embassy's staff.
