On 29 May 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore participated in a courtesy call on Mr. Heng Chee How, Senior Minister of State for Defence of the Republic of Singapore, by General Songwit Noonpakdee, Chief of Defense Forces, Royal Thai Armed Forces, as part of General Noonpakdee’s introductory visit to Singapore during 28 - 30 May 2024.

Both sides reiterated close defence ties between Thailand and Singapore through the cooperation on joint military exercises and regular exchanges of high-level visits between the two countries. They also exchanged views on regional issues and discussed ways to enhance non-traditional security cooperation such as cybersecurity and online scams.

In addition, on 30 May 2024, Ambassador joined General Noonpakdee’s visit to ST Engineering, which is a Singapore’s technology, defence and engineering group specialising in aerospace, land systems and marine sectors. Ambassador Ureerat also hosted a dinner in honour of the Chief of Defense Forces and the delegation at the Ambassador’s residence on 28 May 2024.
