On September 4, 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, participated in the ASEAN Specialized Meteorological Centre (ASMC) - World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Regional Forum 2024, under the theme “Towards a Weather-Ready and Climate-Resilient ASEAN.” The opening remarks were delivered by H.E. Mrs. Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, and Professor Celeste Saulo, Secretary-General of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

The forum focused on how climate services, including high-resolution regional climate projections, can enhance climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction in Southeast Asia. The Thai delegation at the forum was represented by the Hydro-Informatics Institute (Public Organization), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation of Thailand.
