On 25 March 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore visited International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) – Asia at the invitation of Ms. Veerle Nouwens, Executive Director of IISS – Asia. On this occasion, both sides exchanged views on major regional and international issues, such as ASEAN and the superpower rivalry in the Indo-Pacific, situation in Myanmar, Russia-Ukraine war and cybersecurity issues.

IISS - Asia is an independent think tank that conducts studies and analyses on political and security issues, geopolitics and geo-economics, as well as strategic issues in Asia. The IISS is also the convener of the renowned Shangri-La Dialogue, which is an international security forum held annually in Singapore. High level officials of Thailand are invited to participate in the said Dialogue every year.
