On 25 June 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, welcomed Singaporean SMEs who participate in the Business Learning Journey Programme of the Republic Polytechnic led by Dr. Terence Chong, Director of the Office of International Relations, for a briefing on the overview of Thailand and its business and investment environment.

During the event, Ambassador Ureerat underscored the longstanding relationship between Thailand and Singapore that started long before the establishment of their diplomatic relations and reiterated the significance of business sector, particularly SMEs, that played a significant role in expanding trade and investment connections between Thailand and Singapore. At the briefings, the Embassy shared the information on Thailand's economy, political, and investment opportunities in Thailand, especially special investment benefits under the Board of Investment (BOI), Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), and Thailand Digital Valley. The participants were also informed about the application for visas that suit their business and investment context.
