On 28 May 2025, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, welcomed a delegation of professors and staff from Mahasarakham University who were visiting Singapore to learn best practices of leading Singaporean universities, namely the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and the Singapore University of Social Sciences. Their focus was on developing academic excellence for students, including the use of artificial intelligence (AI) as an educational tool.

This visit to the Embassy provided an excellent opportunity to exchange views on the opportunities and challenges of developing educational cooperation with Singapore in areas beneficial to Thailand. These areas include: human resource development approaches; upskilling and reskilling for retirees to support an aging society; developing knowledge on the ethics of AI use; and sustainable research and innovation development.
