On 28 February 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Singapore, presented copies of the Letter of Credence and Letter of Recall to Mr. Chia Wei Wen, Chief of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore.

Ambassador Ureerat Chareontoh conveyed her gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore for the warm hospitality extended during the Royal Visits by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. These visits underscore the significant role of the Royal Family in fostering cordial relations and friendship between the two countries and their people.

The Royal Thai Government and the Government of the Republic of Singapore will work together to promote the exchange of high-level visits this year through bilateral and regional frameworks. Ambassador Ureerat expressed her readiness and determination to work closely with Singaporean counterparts to strengthen the multifaceted Thai-Singapore partnership, particularly in new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation such as digital economy and innovation for national development, as well as to promote people-to-people relations and welfare of the Thai community in the Republic of Singapore. This sentiment resonates strongly as both nations prepare to commemorate the forthcoming 60th anniversary of bilateral relations. Additionally, Mr. Chia Wei Wen underscored the close partnership between Thailand and Singapore. He noted that events hosted by the Royal Thai Embassy consistently garner positive reception from the public.

Ambassador Ureerat Chareontoh arrived in Singapore on 26 February 2024 and received a warm welcomed by ASEAN Ambassadors and Chargé d'Affaires as well as representatives from the Royal Thai Embassy and the Thai authorities in Team Thailand.
