On 28 November 2014, Ms. Ekajit Kraivichien, Chargé d’Affaires, and the Royal Thai Embassy officials as well as Team Thailand and family, attended ASEAN Gala Night 2014 at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia. ASEAN Gala Night is an annual event co-organised by ASEAN members with purpose of cultural exchange and building strong relationship within ASEAN. At the event, each ASEAN member has displayed exhibitions, preparing local food, as well as cultural shows. This year, ASEAN Gala Night was hosted by Myanmar, as the current Chair of ASEAN, and was also joined by Republic of Korea in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of ASEAN-ROK Dialogue. Chee Wee Kiong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, also attended the event as the Guest-of-Honour.
