On 21 March 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Titima Suthiwan, Convenor for Thai Language Program, and representives of the Centre for Language Studies, paid a courtesy call to H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Singapore at the Royal Thai Embassy.

Ambassador Ureerat was informed about the details of the Thai Language Program where there were more than 160 students enrolled. Thai language is one of the popular foreign languages among Singaporean students at the NUS.

They also discussed ways to promote Thai language and culture for different groups in Singapore. Ambassador Ureerat expressed the Embassy's readiness to cooperate with the Program on the promotion of Thai language and cultural activities.
