On 18 March 2025, Ms. Chow Guan Min, Director of Business and Government Relations of Shein, an e-commerce platform headquartered in Singapore, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, to introduce the company. They also discussed strategies for leveraging technology to promote sustainability in the fashion industry, as well as the challenges faced by the e-commerce sector amid the current global economic climate. During the meeting, the Ambassador emphasized the importance of understanding the local context and supporting the involvement of local entrepreneurs, an area where large platforms can play a pivotal role.
