On 7 September 2014, His Holiness Somdet Phramaharatchamangkhlachan, Acting Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, visited Nan Hai Fei Lai Guan Yin Monastery in Singapore at the invitation of Venerable Shi Miao Xian, Abbess of the Monastery, for the opening ceremony of Manjusri Library. Mr. Teo Chee Hean, Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs, as Advisor to Manjusri Library, attended the event as Guest of Honour together with Dr. Fatimah Lateef, Member of Parliament for Marine Parade GRC. Also attending the opening ceremony were Ms.Ekajit Kraivichien, Deputy Chief of Mission, and Ms. Walaya Jariyadham, First Secretary, Royal Thai Embassy. 

His Holiness Somdet Phramaharatchamangkhlachan arrived Singapore on 6 September and returned to Thailand on 7 September 2014. He was received at Changi Airport by H.E. Mr. Marut Jitpatima, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore.
