On 11 September 2014 at 14.00 hrs., Mr. Narong Pollaiad, Deputy Provincial Governor of Udon Thani, led a delegation comprising officials and tourism operators from Udon Thani province to pay a courtesy call on Mr. Marut Jitpatima, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore at the Royal Thai Embassy, during their visit to discuss tourism promotion strategies with Singapore’s tourism operators. The visit is part of the project to promote Thailand as ASEAN’s regional tourism hub, and is supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Singapore Office. At the Embassy, Thai tourism operators met and discussed with their Singaporean counterparts, as well as exchanging presentations on how best to cooperate on expanding businesses. Ambassador Marut gave opening remarks to welcome the delegation. Joining the event were Ms. Ekajit Kraivichien, Deputy Chief of Mission, Ms. Kasama Suebwises, Minister-Counsellor, and Ms. Walaya Jariyadham, First Secretary.
