On Thursday 13 December 2018 H.E. Mr. Manopchai Vongphakdi, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore visited the Headquarter of Seagroup Company, together with Ms. Supranee Kongkiatkamon, Minister Counsellor (Commerce) and officers from Royal Thai Embassy.

Dr. Santitarn Sathirathai, Group Chief Economist, briefed the Ambassador on the topic called " Undercoving ASEAN Hidden Asset", where he connected how ASEAN's fast growing economy and how digital economy can push SME for event further, as well as how eSport Economy, if not yet, could be an industry for the future. He connected the jigsaws between digital entertainment, e-commerce and digital financial services (specially e-wallet platform or airplay) that can go together hand in hand.

Seagroup was the biggest unicorn startup company in Southeast Asia, registered with the New York Stock Exchange in October 2017. It operates the video game platform Garena, e-commerce site Shopee, and financial services firm AirPay in Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Malaysia.
