On this occasion, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. shared insights on the direction of the digital economy, which currently accounts for 18.6 percent of Singapore’s GDP. Singapore is actively advancing its National AI Strategy 2.0 to support the growth of advanced AI technologies, while placing strong emphasis on developing human capital skills to meet the future needs of the digital market. Both sides also exchanged views on successful models and lessons learned from Singapore’s investments in data centres, particularly the implementation of the Green Data Centre Roadmap, which focuses on enhancing computing capacity alongside maintaining environmental standards.
