On 17 January 2026, Mrs. Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., along with Mr. Wutthisak Pathomsart, Minister Counsellor, Office of Labour Affairs, attended NESST Tukang Dormitory Opening Ceremony 2026, presided over by Dr. Tan See Leng, Minister for Manpower (MOM). NESST Tukang Dormitory is the first dormitory under MOM which was built with improved standards and aimed at enhancing the liveability and well-being of migrant workers in Singapore.

On this occasion, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. visited various facilities within the dormitory. She also had fruitful discussions with Mr. Tony Chingnard, Managing Director of Bachy Soletanche, and Mr. Chiang Saengngoen, representative of the Thai workers who currently residing at the dormitory.

The Royal Thai Embassy welcomed the MOM 's initiatives in enhancing the living conditions of migrant workers who play an important role in building Singapore and contributing to Singapore's economy.
