On Sunday, 10 August 2014 at 18.00 – 20.00 hrs, the Royal Thai Embassy organised an auspicious event at the Embassy’s Function Hall to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s 82nd Birthday Anniversary. H.E. Ambassador Marut Jitpatima presided over the ceremony, which was attended by the members of Team Thailand, Embassy’s staff, and the Thai communities in Singapore, including representatives of Thai organisations and associations in Singapore, approximately 100 in total.

On this occasion, H.E. Ambassador said on behalf of the Thai citizens in Singapore that all Thais felt a debt of gratitude to Her Majesty for her life long dedication to the well being of the Thai people. He then led the participants, adorned in blue, which is the colour of the Queen’s birthday, in offering the candle-lit blessing and singing the royal anthem and Sadudee Maharaja or “Tribute to the Great King”. After the ceremony, Ambassador Marut hosts all the participants a dinner and invited them to sign congratulatory book.
