On 22 May 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore hosted a seminar “Unlocking the Singapore Market: Opportunities for Thai Entrepreneurs” and a networking reception for participants of Thai Festival 2025. H.E. Ms. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore delivered an opening remark, expressing her sincere appreciation to all Thai entrepreneurs for participation. She underscored the significance of the Thai Festival as a key platform for strengthening economic and cultural linkages between Thailand and Singapore, particularly for SMEs seeking to expand into international markets.
The seminar featured a presentation by Ms. Natama Koonpol, Director of the Thai Trade Office in Singapore, on the topic “Unlocking the Singapore Market: Opportunities for Thai Entrepreneurs.” She highlighted the Thai Festival as an important venue for market testing, consumer research, and gathering feedback from Singaporean customers. She also emphasized several critical factors for success in the Singapore market, including product quality, value for money, hygiene standards, and strict compliance with import regulations to build trust and ensure sustainable business growth.
Ms. Yatika Kaewborisut, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Singapore Office, also delivered a presentation on “Singapore’s Tourism Market: Opportunities for Thai Entrepreneurs.” She provided in-depth insights into tourism trends in Singapore and explored the pathways and opportunities for Thai businesses to enter and succeed in the market. She stressed the importance of comprehensive preparation and strategic positioning to confidently approach international expansion.
