Thai Labour Day Celebration 2017 in Singapore

On 1 May 2017, the Royal Thai Embassy and the Office of Labour Affairs organised the Labour Day celebration 2017. at Republic Avenue. Mr. Sarmart Pattamasukhon, Minister Counsellor (Labour) presided over the opening ceremony while H.E. Mr. THongchai Chasawath, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, attended and presided over the closing ceremony of the Labour Day celebration 2017.

More than 3,000 Thai workers joined the event, whereby a number of activities were held, including Mobile Consular Unit by the Royal Thai Embassy, exhibitions from several Singaporean agencies, music and shows, as well as sports competitions. Merit making ceremony was also performed by monastery team led by Venerable Chao Khun Phra Tepsiddhivides from Wat Ananda Metyarama for those Thai labours Singapore who passed away throughout the years.
On this occasion, Thai Ambassador presented the prizes to all winners of the sports competitions and also certificates of appreciation to supporters of this event.
