On 11 March 2023, Ambassador Chutintorn GONGSAKDI joined a reception onboard HTMS Naresuan on the occasion of HTMS Naresuan, HTMS Bangpakong and HTMS Pattani making a port visit in Singapore. The visit is part of naval cadet training programme led by Rear Admiral Preediwat Diloknoranart, Deputy Commandant of the Royal Thai Naval Academy and the Commander of Royal Thai Naval Cadet Training Unit. Overseas training of the Royal Thai Navy not only helps broaden the naval cadet’s experiences but also provides an opportunity for the Royal Thai Navy to strengthen its relations with other maritime countries. The Royal Thai Navy and the Republic of Singapore Navy have enjoyed longstanding friendship and close cooperation in many areas such as maritime patrol, intelligence exchanges and Exercise Sing Siam.
