On 10 June 2013, Mr.Marut Jitpatima, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, attended the Opening of the TFCTN-WTO Parliamentarian Workshop on International Trade 2013 jointly organized by Temasek Foundation, World Trade Organization (WTO) และ Temasek Foundation Centre for Trade and Negotiation, S.Rajaratnam School of International Studies at Pan Pacific Singapore. There are representatives from Thailand’s Parliament attending the said workshop, namely, Honorable Phirapahan Phalusuk, Member of the Parliament, Honorable Patcharee Pothasuthon, Member of the Parliament, Honorable General Teeradej Meepien, Senator, and Honorable Sunan Singsomboon, Senator.

The TFCTN-WTO Parliamentarian Workshop on International Trade is an annual event that attracts representatives of the legislative branch of countries in Asia to attend. The main objective is to broaden the horizon of the aforementioned representatives with updates on the international trade system and framework under WTO in order to promote good working relations between the legislators and the politicians in the executive offices for the betterment of life of the peoples as well as for the benefits of the country.
